The natural world is full of both beauty and surprising talents. Did you know, for instance, that moose can swim? They are born with an innate ability to swim, and even calves can do so. In fact, a moose can swim at speeds up to 5 miles per hour. And while they will probably never compete in the Olympics, we still honor their incredible abilities with this easy care shirt that will help you make a splash wherever you wear it.

Did you know that as recently as the 1900s, there was no organized group to advocate for conservation issues? Cartoonist and nature lover, “Ding” Darling convinced President Franklin Roosevelt to gather together nearly 2,000 hunters, anglers and conservationists from across the country to the first North American Wildlife Conference in Washington, D.C. in 1936.

This group became the National Wildlife Federation with the idea of united sportsmen and all outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts uniting behind the common goal of conservation. This shirt, in easy care comfort, reminds us we can’t just pass the buck – conservation is up to all of us.

From Little Red Riding Hood to the Three Little Pigs, wolves have often been the villains of our childhoods. Yet these incredible animals rarely attack humans, and are critical to our biodiversity. Some Native American stories connect the Wolf Spirit to our ancient ancestors. Pueblo tribes include the wolf as a guardian, and the Zuni tribes believed that carrying a wolf image manifested well being and protection.

Show your support for these amazing animals with this easy care shirt, perfect for running with your pack.

Angling to help keep fishing waters cleaner? Here are a few tips for boat owners: check hoses to be sure oil and gas aren’t leaking into the water. Use “green” paints so any chips that get into the water are environmentally friendly.

Remember that spinning propellers can damage water grasses that are home to Brown  Trout, other fish and aquatic animals. And always take something to collect trash in – particularly tangled fishing line, soda cans, plastic bags and other items that don’t biodegrade.

“Land, water and vegetation are just that dependent on one another. Without these three primary elements in natural balance, we can have neither fish nor game, wild flowers nor trees, labor nor capital, nor sustaining habitat for humans.” Jay Norwood Darling, founder of the National Wildlife Federation.

Our future is tied to the natural world, whether we hunt, fish, photograph or simply enjoy the beauty and bounty of our earth. This shirt is a perfect statement whenever you are out and about (or just enjoying the beauty of your own backyard.)

Before his term in office ended in 1909, President Theodore Roosevelt endowed our country with 230 million acres of protected land for the conservation of wildlife – about 84,000 acres for every day he was in office. As President Roosevelt said, “It is in our power…to preserve large tracts of wilderness…and to preserve the game…for the benefit of all lovers of nature.”

Show your love of the wilderness and all that live in it with this comfortable, easy care shirt – it’s a natural!

While you might know Ranger Rick from his magazine (which, by the way, is the oldest and largest publication by the National Wildlife Foundation), he started life as a book, and also was featured in a board game. The book, Adventures of Rick Raccoon, was written in 1959 and published by the NWF to help bring the world of conservation to a young audience.

In 1960, the book led to a board game, Ranger Rick and the Great Forest Fire, in which players raced to a forest fire to put it out. Celebrate this iconic figure and his 50th Anniversary with this easy care shirt, perfect for your own adventures!
